- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded cheese
Melt butter. Blend in flour and salt. Add milk. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Add cheese. Stir until melted. Makes 2/3 cups. Terrific for vegetables, noodles, or rice!
